Today marks the beginning of a new adventure for both my three year old daughter and myself: Preschool.
She is so excited to be a big girl going to school now and I have to say that I am thrilled for her! She is going to enjoy it so much and do awesome – love you, baby girl xoxo
Deciding whether or not to put Annabelle in preschool was a tough decision for me. I think part of it is that I take pride in myself as a full-time stay-at-home-mom and somehow giving my daughter to someone else to teach made me question my ability to teach her at home. I prayed about it and asked the Lord to open my eyes to the right preschool for her if I was to enroll her this year and I believe He did just that. I realize now that sending her to school will be good for us both – it will give me some one-on-one time with Elijah or if he is sleeping, for myself and it will give her the social interaction and stimulation she needs in order to thrive. I am grateful that she is so happy to go and is already asking when she gets to go back. It makes it that much easier for me!
I believe education is such an individual decision, one that each parent should consider for each of their kids. Every kid is so different and the decision whether to homeschool or private school or public school or preschool 🙂 is one we plan to take one child at a time, each year at a time. How about you?

Hi Sarah! I am finally getting to your blog (hey, I finally got to MINE just yesterday). I think you made an excellent decision for A’s school. You are such a good mom! I am thinking we may try private school one of these days. We’ll see! One year at a time, right?
Thanks for the compliment, Joy! Yes, absolutely, one year at a time, one child at a time 🙂
